Dr. King completed a predoctoral internship with an emphasis in neuropsychology at the Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. During her time there, Dr. King led evidence-based parent training group programs, offering psycho-educational sessions empowering parents of children and adolescents with ADHD or executive functioning difficulties. Following her internship, Dr. King transitioned to private practice, focusing more on providing therapeutic neuropsychological assessment services.
Dr. King’s approach to care is both evidence-based and integrative, focusing on the whole child within the context of the family. She is a proponent of the therapeutic assessment process, which involves collaborating closely with parents and children to not only understand the child’s neuropsychological profile but also to foster positive change and support through the assessment experience itself. Dr. King believes in a highly collaborative process, viewing parents as experts on their children and working alongside them to chart the best course forward.
Dr. King shares, “I believe in a compassionate and comprehensive approach to neuropsychological evaluation, and I’m committed to helping children and their families navigate their unique journeys. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.”
